Once upon a time, there was a me. I was born. Here I am. (hehe.) Born and raised in Massachusetts, New England, USA, The World.
Who truly likes writing about themselves? Not I. But you probably want to know a little bit about the weirdo showing all her favorite recipes and magical things. So here we go!
Maranda:
First and foremost, I am a Mom. I love being a Mom. Bastion is ten (as of 2025), an amazing young man with a ton of imagination. You will hear about him in a lot of my life stories and short blurbs. He’s the little sunshine I never knew I needed, the brightest moment of my life. I am married to an incredible man, Chris, and am a Bonus Mom to his cool and headstrong son Callum, who’s sixteen. Chris and I met at the boys’ karate studio and became fast friends, talking about books and antiques, random old video games. As we grew closer, we became magnetized and here we are. (And there will be blog posts more in depth of our adventures.)
Education:
I could’ve seriously lived at school. I’ve always loved the written word. I love telling stories and thinking of new ways to create. I’ve received my MFA in Creative Writing / English at New England College, and I also have a BS in Business Administration.
Career / Experience:
For 15 years as of 2025, I’ve been in the Financial Institution industry. I started as a teller and worked my way up to manager, pivoted to strictly mortgages, and then landed in a back office analyst position.
I have self published a couple of novels (see Portfolio), poetry, and a few articles here and there. Currently, I am pursuing more avenues to explore. There is always adventure out there if you keep looking and believe in yourself.
