How can I stay positive during difficult times, whether personal, environmental, or economical?
First and foremost, remember you can only control yourself. Things happen every day that are unexpected. The best thing to do is find at least one positive thing per day to think on. It can be anything from your child’s smile, the way the sunlight hits the trees on your way to work, or even that afternoon coffee you count on to boost your mood. There is beauty in life, and we must remember to be open to that. It is all magical.
How will I know if the magic is working?
Start journaling. Write down your efforts, what you’ve done, and open your eyes. It may come as something small, but writing your observations afterwards may surprise you! Make that Self-Love Caprese? Hours later did someone compliment your glow? Or did you feel more confident walking back into work? It’s the little things that add up that make this all worth investing energy into.
Is there a way to become a better home chef?
Yes! The way I did it is from years of learning from family, tv shows of “The Greats” such as Emeril and Julia, and tons of reading and watching. I’ve read through cookbooks, watched YouTube, and asked family members for their favorite recipes. You just have to be open to learning and trial by fire. Try new recipes, taste new flavors. Learn your style and run with it.
